Tips & Hints & Comments About the Blocks

General

  • The "rows" in this quilt are diagonal.  Tip your head to the left & you'll see that the upper left block is a lonely, quarter-diamond block in position A1.
  • The second diagonal row consists of B1, B2, and B3.  B2 is the only full-diamond block.  B1 and B3 are on the edges.
  • Specific Blocks
    • B2:  Notice that B2 and C2 are made from the same elements.  The diamonds are straight (C2) and slanted (B2).
    • C3:  It's a log cabin that starts with a triangle instead of a square.
    • E6: There are about a dozen blocks in this quilt that contain miniature diamonds.
